Rack of Ribs that is! What did you think I was talking about, eh?!
Remember when my parents came over to eat with me and we cooked ribs? Well I got a few questions about the ribs and thought why not post the recipe so everyone can try it. 🙂
So here ya go!
Honey BBQ Ribs – Southern Style
Ingredients:
- 1 Rack of Pork Baby Back Ribs
- BBQ sauce of your choice
- 1 tablespoon Seasoning Salt
- ½ cup Brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Salt
- ½ teaspoon Pepper
- 1 tablespoon BBQ Seasoning
Rub
- Mix together Seasoning Salt (we use Lawery’s)
- Garlic Salt
- Brown Sugar
- BBQ Seasoning
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
- Place ribs in a baking dish with ¼” of water in the bottom.
- Use rub and cover both sides of ribs thoroughly.
- Cover with aluminum foil or lid.
- Bake for about 2 ½” hours.
- Remove from oven and uncover carefully.
- Place ribs on a grill over medium heat.
- Baste with BBQ sauce (we prefer Kraft Spicy Honey).
- Turn every 5 mins until sauce starts to caramelize.
- Remove from grill and enjoy!

July 5, 2012 at 10:44 pmMmmm, I had ribs yesterday for the 4th! I didn’t make them though, but they were cooked in a smoker & that was AMAZING. So I think my answer is now the ribs must be smoked.
