Hair Be Gone

 

I love dogs. I love all dogs. I love my dogs. They are the best. However….

O-M-G!, I hate how bad my Golden Retriever, Whiskey, sheds! It’s horrible. Sunday I’ll sweep up enough hair to fill a walmart shopping bag and by Wednesday I have to sweep again and get the same dang amount up! Hair will be piled up every where and in every corner! 

The dog sheds and sheds and sheds! 

I don’t know why I didn’t think about it before but the other day I saw a video of someone using their horse shedding tool as a way to get rid of all the loose hair on their long haired dog. So I thought why not put mine to the test too. 

So I grabbed my EquiGroomer and went to town brushing Whiskey’s coat over and over for an hour. Umm let me tell you…it freakin’ worked! Like so well my backyard looked like it snowed dog hair everywhere. 

 

Stupid me didn’t think to pile up the hair while I was doing it and by the time I thought about it, it was already all over the yard and I didn’t feel like going and picking up all the pieces. So I just grabbed what was left on the deck for a quick pic. I promise you though. There was a lot more hair then this and this shedding tool worked! 

Whiskey actually loved getting brushed and just sat there like he was in doggy heaven. I brushed him like this for a few days until I wasn’t getting much hair out and man has it made a huge difference in my house. There’s barely any hair inside and my allergies are 10x better! Now I just have to give him a bath so he can smell better. 😉
