I Sea a few Vacations in my Future

Good Morning! πŸ™‚

I can’t believe it’s been so long since my last post. Which speaking of, how did you like the video of my horses playing around? Did it make you giggle like it did me?

Anyway, I was doing so well meeting my goal of posting 3 times a week then got really busy around the farm and traveling to shows that I just ran out of time each day. Funny enough, despite everything that’s been going on I feel like I have absolutely nothing to talk about. Nothing worthy of a blog post has happened and I’m fresh out of great things to talk about. :/

Welp, since there’s nothing great that’s happened, guess I could talk about the great things I have coming up! Let’s see here. This weekend I’m heading back to Mt. Rogers to ride with a group of people. I’m super excited about that. I love it up there. It’s so peaceful and serene. I do believe one day I’ll buy a house up there so I can go as often as I want and have my own place to stay at. I’m sure my horses would love that as well.

Myrtle Beach Bike Week 2012

In May, I’ll be heading to N. Myrtle Beach for Bike Week. I’ve been many times during this holiday week but never with the intentions of taking a bike down to actually ride, so this will be an entirely new adventure. The last time I went to Myrtle for Bike week, I believe close to 17 people were killed. Bikers act a little crazy and aren’t very respectful of the people in cars and cars don’t pay attention to the bikers and it ends up being pretty dangerous. As you can imagine, I’m nervous and excited. I just started riding Street Bikes last year. Up until that point I didn’t like riding on the back of a bike because I was scared of wrecking, falling off, and all the other bad things that could possibly happen. Well I ended up getting over my fear enough that I could enjoy riding on one as long the driver went SLOW and stayed far from the center line. However, I still don’t like to ride for long periods or on busy roads. Yea I know what you’re thinking. If you’ve ever been to Myrtle then you know the roads are busy 24/7. I realize that and honestly I’m not sure I’ll be able to handle riding the bike in traffic with cars so close I could touch them if I extend my arm but I’ll give it a shot. If it makes me to nervous I’ll just opt for driving every where and watching everyone else ride. It will be fun to go and hang out with friends and enjoy the activities but of course I’m mostly excited to get away, relax on the beach with a beer and book, play some cornhole..with a beer in my hand, and enjoy nighttime activities with friends. It’s been a LONG TIME since I’ve gone on vacation with a bunch of friends! πŸ™‚

A Door Hanger we used on board the Carnival Liberty Ship

Not sure what the summer months have in store for me but come August I’m going on a Cruise! Wahoo! My boyfriend and I are taking Braxton on his first cruise this year and we both couldn’t be more excited! I’ve been wanting to take him on one for years but it never seemed like a good time. We will be sailing on Carnival Cruise’s Destiny Ship to Grand Turk, Half Moon Cay, and Nassau! This will be my first time cruising with a child so if you’ve done it before please fill me in on anything and everything I should know! I want to do an excursion or two with him but don’t know what would be the most fun. I also want to make sure he enjoys the ship to the fullest! So feel free to leave comments with any tips or advice you have about cruising! πŸ™‚

Well that sums up my future vacation plans. πŸ™‚ What vacations do you have planned for this year?

Ok, that bike trip sounds crazy! 17 killed the last time you went, that is insane!! Sounds exciting though.

We will probably be heading to the Rocky Mountains for our summer vacation this year, the destination TBD!

    Enjoy all of your trips!

A cruise? Luck you, I’m planning a few shorter trips but it’s tough with barrel races & such but I have a fun getaway planned for Memorial Day weekend!
