A Week in the Life

I’ve seen other bloggers doing “day in the life” posts and thought it would be fun to share mine. Since my days vary so much I thought I would do a “week in the life” post to give you a good idea of how my weeks have been going recently.

Monday – Friday

5:20 am: Alarm goes off, time to wake up! I’m not ready to get up, hit snooze and roll over.

5:30 am: Ugh, stupid alarm is going off again. Must.Get.Out.of.Bed.

5:30 am – 6 am: Wake up B to get ready for school, make coffee, let the crazy dogs out to use the bathroom, brush my teeth, get ready for work, make B’s lunch, put dogs up, Grab everything I need for the day and head out the door.

6:00 am – 6:15 am: Drop off everything in the car, walk to barn, feed/give lots of kisses and hugs to cats, prepare and dump feed in stalls for horses, bring in horses from pasture, put Back On Track wraps on Gracie’s legs and Jets, check/fill waters.

6:15 am – 7 am: Drive to drop off B with parents where he’ll then catch the bus.

7:00 am – 7:15 am: Drop off B and then drive to work.

7:15 am – 3:45 pm: Working. (My job title is Digital Marketing Analyst. So basically I come up with online marketing strategies for websites regarding their SEO, PPC, Social, Email and more.)

3:45 pm – 4:15 pm: Drive to parents, wait for B to get off the bus so we can get home.

4:15 pm – 5:15 pm: Drive home. (no idea why it takes longer in the afternoon’s but it does.)

5:15 pm – 5:30 pm: Grab a drink, Get Braxton started on HW, change clothes, head outside to horses.

5:30 pm – 7:30 pm: Ride Gracie, Doctor Vinnie’s tumors, turn out horses, clean stalls, feed/play with cats. (On days with Tory is home he’ll be cooking dinner while I’m outside.)

Riding my horse

7:30 pm – 8:15 pm: Eat dinner, check B’s homework.

8:15 pm – 9:00 pm: Time with B playing games, talking, watching TV.

9:00 pm – 10 pm: Depending on how I feel time is spent watching a tv show, working out or going to bed early just to get up and start the same.exact.routine.over.

Saturday & Sunday

6:30 am: Internal Alarm goes off and eyes open.

6:45 am: I finally decide to get out of bed.

6:45 am – 9:00 am: (time changes based on what I plan to do for the day) Get dressed, make coffee, let dogs outside, walk out to barn and feed/kiss and hug on cats, go back in grab a cup of coffee, head into the living room, flip on the tv and check out what shows recorded on the dvr this week, pick a show to watch and enjoy my coffee.

9:00 am – 5:00 pm: (In no particular order) Clean stalls if I didn’t do it Friday night, bring in horses, ride Gracie, groom all horses possibly bathe, optional – bushhog, mow yard, go for a trail ride, ride a blog post, clean house, go eat breakfast, work on some improvement project, – i.e. finishing something started in the barn, hay shed, fence, etc. Sometimes I get a nap in, on Sunday morning there is church.)

Planting loriapie

Tory and I recently planted Loriapie down our walkway to the house.

5:00 pm – 10 pm: Eat dinner (most of the time it’s eating out or grilling out), turn out horses for the night, feed/love on dogs and cats, sometimes we go cosmic bowling – the local bowling alley does this from 7-9 so I’m still home and in bed by 10! Yay! – if we don’t go out, then curl up on the couch and watch more tv shows.

So that’s basically my everyday life in a nut shell. Even though it probably sounds so boring, I honestly love it and there are times it gets more exciting like this summer when we were going out on the lake and this fall when I start trail riding more and maybe hauling to some shows again. Fall is normally my all out horse time. The weather is perfect for riding and I tend to take full advantage of it. When I’m home it’s not really boring either because there are so many chores that have to be done around the farm and I actually love doing them. My favorite weekends are spend on the tractor cutting grass in the pastures. Something about driving the tractor around is soo much fun. Shoot, there really isn’t anything that we do around the farm that I really feel is a chore..well besides cleaning stalls. That gets old fast but it’s got to be done. 😉

What’s a typical day/week like for you?!
