Thankful for My Dogs & Their Unconditional Love

UPDATE: It’s now the year 2020 and I’m sad to report, Jack has passed away. He died of old age last year and is now buried in my back yard with a headstone to mark his grave. I’m still so thankful for the days I had him in my life and miss him dearly. Jill is still around. She’s also getting older but hopefully still a few good years left.

Yesterday I was catching up on my Blog reads and came across a great post by Tina over at Carrots ‘N’ Cake. She decided to challenge herself to a month of thankfulness. With that in mind, everyday in November she is going to mention something she is thankful for.

Since I’ve been having a hard time trying to figure out what I want to blog about each day, I thought this might be the perfect inspiration. So today when I asked myself, “What am I thankful for?” I realized today I’m thankful for my dogs. 🙂

All my life I wanted a lap dog and I wanted it to be a Jack Russell. I started falling in love with Jack Russell’s when I was in my pre-teens and my old Equine Vet brought his dog to our barn. I saw how smart and loyal it was and wanted a dog just like his. A dog that would follow me around, ride in the car with me and snuggle up on my lap so we could watch tv together. Well now I’m happy to say I have 2 of the best dogs I could ever have hoped for!

So now you know what I’m thankful for today. What are you thankful for?
